The JDI Ghost Power RFID kill switch is a discreet and effective theft prevention device on both newer and older vehicles. It uses a hidden RFID reader that only allows the vehicle to start when its unique programmed RFID tag is scanned near the hidden antenna, effectively acting as an invisible kill switch. Without the tag, power to the ignition switch is cut, preventing the vehicle from starting even with the normal key. The Ghost Power automatically arms itself 30 seconds after the car is turned off, making it easy to use. Since it only interrupts the ignition switch, it is potentially less difficult for thieves to bypass than an IGLA, Ravelco, or many alarm system immobilizers, however it is still a good option that is much more affordable and because it is hidden, will still leave the thieves with lots of guesswork.
